In the name of God, the compassionate the merciful.

That sweet moment which I fell in love with you, asked you me and you is Me or You! And you said the both; I joined you and wished you were my only authority; hand in hand everywhere be the one whom I rely on; and you said “Am I!” till I breath, I am beside you!

Murals found on cave walls in Afghanistan prove that painting with oil had been going on in Asia for centuries before artists used the technique in Europe, scientists said this week.

Until now, art historians believed that oil painting started in Europe in the 15th century.

Scientists found the murals in a network of caves where monks lived and prayed in the Afghan region of Bamiyan, according to a statement on the Web site of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, where the ancient paintings were analyzed.

Until 2001, two colossal 6th-century statues of Buddhas stood at the mouth of the caves. Then the Taliban, which then ruled Afghanistan, blew up the statues on the grounds that they were un-Islamic. The action drew international condemnation.

Inside the caves, scientists found murals painted in the 7th century. They show images of Buddha in vermilion robes sitting cross-legged amid palm leaves and mythical creatures.

In 12 of 50 caves, the murals were painted using drying oils -- perhaps from walnuts and poppy seeds -- the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility said.

Its findings on the age of the oil paintings were published this week in The Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry.

"This is the earliest clear example of oil paintings in the world," said Yoko Taniguchi, leader of the team of scientists.

Bamiyan, about 130 kilometers (80 miles) northwest of Kabul, was once a thriving center of commerce and Buddhism. The paintings, scientists say, were probably the work of artists who traveled along the Silk Road, the ancient trade route between China, across Central Asia's desert to the West.

The Taliban used dozens of explosives to demolish the Buddha statues in Bamiyan.

Museums and governments around the world had hoped to save the two Buddhas, the earliest of which is thought to have been carved into sandstone cliffs in the third century A.D.

At heights of 53 meters and 36 meters, the statues were the tallest standing Buddhas in the world.

Later in 2001, U.S.-led forces toppled the Taliban following the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.

Now, the United Nations cultural agency, UNESCO, is trying to restore the bigger of the two statues. The task could take years.

The dombura is an instrument that looks quite similar to the dutar and the famous dambura player is          Safdar Tawakoli

The dambura is mainly played in the North of Afghanistan. In fact two slightly different kinds exist : the Turkestani and the Badachstan one.

The body of the Turkestani dambura is carved out of a single block of mulberry wood and covered with a thick wooden soundboard. There is one small sound hole on the back, and several tiny ones drilled in a pattern on both sides of the front. The neck is made of mulberry, apricot or something, and joined to the body.

The dambura is fretless, and has two gut or nylon strings fixed to T-shaped flat pegs, both at the front. The strings run over a small wooden bridge to a pin at the end of the body. As with all Afghan instruments there is usually some decoration. The instrument is left unfinished - just filed, not sandpapered or varnished.

The dambura is played with lots of banging and scraping on the soundboard, to give some rhythmic and percussion effect.

marriage

Marriage is the union of two divinities that a third might be born on earth. It is the anion of two souls in a strong love for the abolishment of separateness. It is the higher unity which fuses the separate unities within the two spirits. It is the golden ring in a chain whose beginning is a glance, and whose ending is Eternity. It is the pure rain that falls from an unblemished sky to fructify and bless the fields of divine nature.

Copied from "love reflection" of Gibran Khahlil Gibran, a Lebanese poet.

Safdar Tawakoli "the father of dambura"

Safdar Tawakoli "The Father of Dambura"

Safdar Tawakoli holds a unique place in the history of Afghan music in general and Hazaragi music in particular. He is the iconic "dambura player" of his generation, and is known for his unique style of regional traditional music. Safdar has not only been popular among listeners in his own generation but has also inspired the younger generation, who are more than interested in learning his instrument and memorizing his lyrics.

Safdar Tawakoli was born in 1942 in the Yakawlang district of Bamiyan to a family of moderate means. His interest in music was nurtured during his youth, but he had to overcome the conservative tradition and religious restrictions of his local culture. Despite these, he pursued his field of interest and became a devoted artist. He always admired and in some cases envied the popularity of national singers, he mastered the "dambura", a regional long necked stringed instrument popular among the Hazaras of central Afghanistan.

In pursuit of a career in music he left Bamiyan to run a music store in Kabul that sold cassettes. It was his hard work and talent that led him kto the studios of Radil Kabul and Afghanistan's National Television, where he did countless number of shows and sung hundreds of songs. Safdar Tawakuli became a household name in regions and the number of his listeners increased. He became an iconic singer and was awarded with several awards and honorary medals. He represented Afghan Music in several countries of which Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Qirghizistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Iran are some. He headed the Musical group of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Afghanistan from 1986 to 1995 for eleven consecutive years.

Like everything else Safdar Tawakoli's artistry fell victim to civil war during which he lost his career, his home, his beloved son but he never lost and shall never lose his fame. He stayed in Afghanistan in extreme conditions, even during the time of the Taliban when his life was in grieve danger. Safdar is an artist of heart. He never tried to become rich, he never lost himself during the height of his fame and led the simple of lives. Like majority of other artists, he too has remained ignored. After the fall of Taliban, his musical number, "Agar az Bamiyan o Qandahari – hamagi pag biraari"; became a symbol of national unity and pride for Afghanistan when it was re-sung by the prominent Afghan Singer Farhad Darya. He was one of first singers to sing on Afghanistan's National Radio immediately after the fall of the Taliban. Hazaragi song.

Now, Afghan nation! Where is he! What is he doing!............ we don’t know.

Why? Why we are so indifferent to our national artists?

The status of science and scienstists in Islam:

Islam has urged man to study and gain knowledge, because all sciences will ultimately lead him to the truth about God. That is to say the more the scientist acquires knowledge the more he gets to know God beyond any doubt; and thus he fears God and follows all His orders and instructions in all his actions. God says, in this respect:

HIV HUMAN FATAL ENEMY

                                              what is HIV?

HIV is a virus that can multiply quickly in you body. even though  no cure exist for HIVinfection or the later stage of HIVE known as AIDS, there are some different drugs that cant slow down the virus, and the slower the virus grows the longer people live and the healthier thy remain.HIV make your immune system very weak. your immune system is what  allows your body to fight off bacteria and viruses. when it is weakend, you will have a hard time staying well.

magic treatment

I called upon all sites related to HIV . there is no cure for HIV infection, but precention therapy.we all know the preventing ways to avoid being infected by HIV . so we have nothing to do with that.I just want to warn human communities to fight against our fatal enemy.

There are some drogs therapy wich worked fine as wel as Single Dose Nevirapine (SD-NVP) and (MTCT) interrupt mother to child transmission of HIV.

for more information refer to http://wwwjournals.uchicago.edu.

Although HIV drogs can be life savers, there are reasonse not to start taking them right away. for one thing, the virus sometimes becomes resistant to drogs. that means the virus has changed in a way that makes the drog no longer work. the most common cause of drog resistance id not taking medications correctly. the longer you are on a drog the more likely the virus will develope resistance to it. also all drogs have side effects, some long term.

please share me your finding about HIV .please send your ideas and suggestons via my e-mail as lo_sharif@yahoo.com. I would be very pleased to hear your comments.
